Maple Glazed Salmon (Serves 2)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound (450g) salmon fillets
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: Fresh chopped coriander and sesame seeds

METHOD:

Prepare The Marinade:

1. In a bowl, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, garlic salt, and black pepper. Place salmon in a dish or resealable bag, pour marinade over, ensuring even coverage. Marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 12 hours

For Baking:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Place salmon skin-side down on a lined baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes or until it flakes easily with a fork.

For Pan-Searing

1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat with a bit of oil.
2. Place salmon skin-side down, sear for 4-5 minutes until skin is crispy. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Serve with your preferred greens or sides.
