From our Melbourne apothecary, we follow a monthly rhythm of production. We plan, blend, and pour in small batches, sized to what our community genuinely needs that month, rather than producing to a larger, less considered schedule. Here is why that approach makes a real difference to what ends up in your bottle.

Freshness That Holds Up

Small-batch production means we are only ever making what we expect to sell within a reasonable window, rather than holding large volumes in storage for months at a time. This means the botanical oils and active ingredients in our creams are closer to their peak potency when they reach you. Opening a bottle of our Citrus Barrier Body Cream means experiencing ingredients that haven't sat waiting on a shelf far longer than necessary.

Room to Refine

Because we are hands-on with every batch, we are constantly learning from it. Small-batch production allows us to refine technique with each pour, whether that is perfecting the texture of our fragrance-free range or balancing a new essential oil blend. The focus stays on getting each formula right, rather than producing at a volume that makes that kind of attention difficult.

Considered Sourcing, Near and Far

We prioritise local Australian suppliers for packaging and many of our base ingredients, supporting the businesses closest to our own. At the same time, certain botanicals are simply better suited to other climates, and we source those internationally where it genuinely improves a formula, always to ECOCERT or COSMOS standard. The aim is not sourcing everything from one place for its own sake, but choosing the right ingredient for the job, wherever it comes from.

Less Waste, More Intent

Planning production monthly means significantly less waste. We are not holding excess stock or working through packaging that may never be used. Every bottle we fill has a clear purpose, which is a more intentional way of working, and it supports the same values behind our 10% Profit Pledge.
